YQuantum and UNINA Announce Strategic Partnership for Quantum Hardware
YQuantum and the University of Naples “Federico II” are proud to announce a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the development of high-performance quantum computing hardware within the Superconducting Quantum Computing Center of the Department of Physics “Ettore Pancini” at the University of Naples “Federico II”. Led by Professors Francesco Tafuri, Davide Massarotti, and Dr. Halima Giovanna Ahmad, this collaboration directly contributes to Italy’s national quantum computing effort by bridging the gap between academic research and industrial-grade control solutions.
The partnership has already produced significant results. By integrating YQuantum’s specialized Flux Bias-T technology into their cryogenic system, the Quantum Computing Napoli (QCN) Lab team achieved a two-qubit gate fidelity of 99%. This milestone demonstrates how engineering hardware linearity can resolve critical bottlenecks in quantum control, ensuring that complex waveforms reach quantum processors without distortion.
Professor Francesco Tafuri, leader of the QCN group, commented:
“Collaborating with YQuantum has enabled us to further push our experimental capabilities. The precision of their control hardware has been a key factor in achieving 99% gate fidelity, demonstrating that close cooperation between industry and academia is essential for the next generation of quantum computers.”
YQuantum has also provided customized high-performance cryogenic packaging to support the in-house development of proprietary quantum chips and to enable the simultaneous measurement of multiple devices within a single cooling cycle.
